Up To Date Laundry has undergone remarkable evolution over the last 75 years. Since the day, Nancy Stair Carter’s father William Stair, Sr. purchased the business in 1946 we have been on the leading edge of advancing the laundry industry.
Our humble beginnings servicing ships from New York in the Baltimore Harbor and retail clientele of the local community gave us the grounding in customer service that we are known for today. We continue this legacy of providing our customers with high quality and cost competitive service within the framework of long lasting relationships.
Up To Date Laundry is a leader in the healthcare laundry industry and marked by our numerous safety and customer service awards we have received from our national association. We have multiple facilities throughout the region that are state of the art with sustainability solutions and full scale disaster recovery power generation. Our redundancy capabilities truly give our customers peace of mind that their products will always be delivered.
We have continued the evolution by investing in the best in class automation, material handling, and laundering and finishing equipment to meet the changing requirement of the healthcare industry. Today we service almost 50 hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and we have a healthcare division that services hundreds of medical offices, surgery centers, and specialty healthcare facilities.
